Laundering Microcotton Toweling - Fahrenheit

We recommend the following care for Microcotton terry

toweling:

• Machines are at 75-100% full capacity

• Washer is set for a mix wash (hot and cold water running

simultaneously)

• 5 cycles—2 wash, 2 rinse, 1 extract

• Solvent based, high alkaline liquid laundry detergent, liquid fabric

softener

• Oxygenated bleach only – when needed

• Dryer is set at 160° Fahrenheit – do not dry to bone-dry stage

• Remove toweling from dryer promptly to prevent wrinkling

• Do not use fabric softeners that coat the product, as this will

greatly reduce absorbency.

Notes:

• Due to Microcotton towels high degree of absorbency, they will also

absorb chemicals in the wash cycle. Absorption of detergent and

other chemicals that do not rinse out completely during the rinse

cycle will lead to harsh toweling. Add over-drying and you’ve got a

really harsh hand feel.

• We recommend testing the detergent amount, beginning with using

half of the normal amount until a good balance be reached. If

water is hard, you will have to increase.

Laundering Microfiber or Waffle Lined Robes - Fahrenheit

We recommend the following care for microfiber and waffle robes with terry or

polyester linings:

Wash in warm water and dry on medium or permanent press setting. Remove

promptly from the dryer while ever so slightly damp and hang. The weight of the

robe will pull out any residual wrinkles. While it isn’t necessary to turn the robe

inside out for laundering, turning the terry or plush side out will make it easier to

remove any makeup or soil on the collar during the wash cycle and will allow the

robe to dry more quickly.

The following specifications are followed in our in‐house wash testing lab:

  • washer is set for a mix wash (hot and cold water running simultaneously)
  • solvent based, high alkaline liquid laundry detergent is recommended.
  • dryer is set at NO MORE than 125 degrees for polyester plush lined (to prevent melting) and 160 degrees for cotton/poly terry lined.
  • machines are run at 75% ‐ 100% capacity
  • dryer sheets or anti‐static liquid product can be used when laundering double‐faced robes to reduce/prevent static between inner and outer lining.
